What We Use
We utilize Mr. ShrinkWrap’s shrink wrap as it is suited for heavy-duty applications where excellent two directional shrink properties and toughness is required. Their shrink wrap is formulated from premium grade polyethylene, UV inhibitors, and other additives which are designed to resist degradation due to sunlight, rain, chemicals and heat.
SORBATECH® cargo bags control humidity, lower dew point and prevent condensation in shipping containers (also known as container rain or cargo sweat), which can lead to product damage. SORBATECH® cargo bags help ensure safe delivery of our customer’s product by protecting their cargo from fluctuating container conditions.
Our Process
Step 1
Assess
Decide whether to use wrapping services for either module or racking component pallets.
Step 2
Collect
Pallet dimensions and product data sheets are provided to Lexington Energy Services.
Step 3
Order
Materials are ordered to cover all sides and the tops of each pallet. The bottom of the pallet can be wrapped at an additional cost. Lead time is 4-5 weeks.
Step 4
Locate
Appropriate laydown areas are established.
Step 5
Deliver
Upon delivery, we offload and wrap to avoid double handling of each pallet. We typically achieve 2.5 MW/day (approximately 8-10 truckloads based on 400w modules).
Step 6
Package
We stage and wrap pallets then utilize heat shrinking for a tight, secure fit. We then label the pallets and store until needed.

Q: What is the cost difference between solar energy panel wrapping and warehousing?
A: Wrapping costs the equivalent of 2-3 months of warehousing.
Q: Do you provide vents and fans with your solar panel services?
A: Vents and fans can be included in our packages at an additional cost. If fans are used, power solutions need to be considered. *Only available on bulk wrapping orders.
Q: What happens if it rains?
A: Our wrap protects against the rain. If it’s raining during time of delivery, pallets are not wrapped until they have completely dried to avoid unnecessary moisture under the wrap.
Q: Where do you serve geographically?
A: We serve nationwide.
Q: Do you have any available locations for solar energy panel laydown?
A: We can work with you to find the nearest location to your site. *Additional costs apply.
